This entertaining volume fills a much needed gap in the study of ancient Egyptian practices and beliefs. The subject of Egyptian mummification is that which is easily caught up in mystery and speculation. The casual reader is usually not fully informed on the subject because studies pertaining to this area are found only in technical journals on Egypt and, therefore, are out of reach of that reader. The author has made this subject understandable by presenting it in a very readable, non-technical and interesting manner.
